Bulles & Compagnie was born out of a happy union. While preparing her own wedding, Elodie challenges herself: if she enjoys the process, she will become a Professional Wedding Planner. The result was so successful that in 2009, Elodie quits her day job and creates Bulles & Compagnie. Seven years later, Bulles & Compagnie is the wedding reference in Bourgogne area. We met with Elodie to pick the secret list of favorite places and designers.
You work mostly in Bourgogne area and most of your clients come from abroad. Why does this Central East region of France attract so many couples?
The Bourgogne region vineyard joined the international UNESCO heritage in 2015. This area has an amazing wine, sophisticated gastronomy and appreciated art traditions. Somewhere between ancient and modern, this province offers a large variety of wedding ceremony possibilities: a cocktail in the heart of a vineyard, special dinner in a XI-th century cellar, a reception organized in cut stone mansion, serving a genuine wild boar on a spit, from the forest of the property or a Sunday brunch served from a food truck!

“Le Domaine des Prés Verts” is located in the middle of nature. You can sleep in a former barn transformed into a luxurious and chic guesthouse with SPA facilities. If you are looking for an original escape, you can ride with an electric Mehari car or a Solex bike! When I want to relax and take care of my skin, I enjoy the natural and soft texture of the homemade soaps from Solsequia de Dijon. I also enjoy Vinésime – an organic skin care line, made of local vinery products and blackcurrant buds.
In Bourgogne area, you can also see and taste raspberries, redcurrant, cherries…I love going with my son to Fruits Rouges Farm, in the North of the region. The whole range of their products is organically obtained and offers natural drinks, gems and delicious condiments. In the wedding universe, I love the ethical approach of the Parisian jewelry brand Paulette à bicyclette.
What are your favorite honeymoon destination?
I am in love with the West Coast of the United States and with the architectural and cultural diversity of San Francisco. In Utah, at Point Canyon, try the Amangiri hotel: a breath taking view over the desert, calm, impeccable minimal design, refined service…Luxury at its best.
If you had a sabbatical year…
I’d try all the Soneva experiences: on a little Island in the Maldives, on a majestic sailing boat in the Indian ocean, surrounded by coconut trees in Thailand…Because I love their « no news no shoes » tagline and their sustainability focused values. But a year is too long for me…I would certainly be happy to get back to my wedding planning in my dear Bourgogne.
