What role does travelling play in your creative process?
Travel is an infinite source of inspiration. It answers my need of escape, feeds my curiosity and contributes to my personal development both at a human and cultural level. You change a little bit after each travel experience and that’s the magic thing about going out of your comfort zone.
How do you organize your travels?
I love “mixed” travels. I always leave with my backpack to live and experience authentic local life, far away from the very touristic areas, but I always indulge myself with a beautifully designed hotel at the end of every travel journey.
Which are your favorite travel destinations?
I never experience twice the same place. I like to explore. Nevertheless, I have to admit I have a thing for South America and Asia. My latest travel crush: Vietnam.
Can you share your “slow” travel places from Vietnam?
There are so many…Here are my favorite picks.
Favorite « Slow » place: Tam Coc Garden – Vietnam
If you want to escape the noisy Hanoi, head to Tam Coc Garden, at a two hour ride from Hanoi. Nestled in the middle of rice fields, in a natural environment, you can enjoy an ecofriendly oasis, perfectly intertwined with local farm life. The architecture stays faithful to Tokinese villages and the hotel staff is 100% local. A pure gem!
Favorite « Slow » place: Seasense Resort – Vietnam
Located on the beautiful Phu Quoc Island, Seasense Resort is a breath of fresh air. With only 28 beautifully design bungalows, this little piece of paradise is an unforgettable, last stop before a long flight back home.
